Debbie, a former journalist and founder of Atypical Media, sought to launch her new brand strategy and thought leadership studio with a website that would resonate with high-level decision makers.
As an early-stage startup, the website would strategically leverage Debbie's extensive journalism background and branding expertise to promote and spearhead Atypical Media's launch.

Problem space
Brand strategy consultancies often face similar challenges - they need to establish immediate credibility with skeptical C-suite executives while making intangible services feel valuable. Debbie recognized this challenge early as a new studio entering a crowded market and communicated her problems and objectives to us.
Without an established track record as a consultancy, the website needed to quickly communicate Debbie's decade of journalism expertise while making sure she stands out from generic brand consultants. The site also had to speak to vastly different audiences - from seasoned executives to emerging founders - all while staying true to Debbie's branding for Atypical Media.
Breaking it down
Through competitor research, we noticed that similar consultancies create separate pages for each service, then nest multiple sub-services within each page. This creates a confusing hierarchy of content that force visitors to jump between pages and decipher multi-faceted service packages.
Recognizing this gap, we saw this as a practical opportunity to propose consolidating service information all on one page. Together with a card-based design, visitors are able to quickly scan for benefits they can expect from Atypical Media and their service packages.
As a result, the website reduces visitor drop-off by eliminating navigation between service pages while maintaining all essential information across devices, unlike traditional comparison tables that often break or simply gets removed on mobile display.
Kick-off
Light-weight and scalable
As a new consultancy entering the market, Atypical Media is designed to evolve alongside Debbie's growing business. Drawing on her background as a journalist and writing expert, the website maintains a clean and easily editable structure. This approach positions Atypical Media for future growth while establishing a strong foundation for her inaugural website launch.
